No Appointment Needed · We Take Insurance · Hablamos Español
Save time at your first visit: download and complete your intake paperwork before you arrive, see exactly what will happen when you walk in, and get your insurance questions answered up front. Forms are available in English and Spanish, and our front desk can help with anything at (302) 595-2584.
Can’t print at home? No problem — arrive about 15 minutes early and complete everything on a clipboard or tablet at the front desk. If you need help completing forms in Spanish, tell the front desk when you call and we’ll make sure someone is available.
Photo ID and your insurance card
Your auto insurance claim number (for accident cases — if you haven’t opened a claim yet, we’ll walk you through it)
Any ER discharge paperwork or imaging reports from other providers
Your attorney’s contact information, if you’re represented
A list of current medications and any prior injuries to the same areas
Knowing what’s coming makes the visit easier — especially when you’re in pain. Here’s the whole sequence:
Check-in (5–10 minutes). We verify your forms, copy your ID and insurance card, and confirm how your visit will be billed — before any treatment, so there are no surprises.
History and consultation. You’ll sit down with a member of our clinical team and describe what happened — the accident or injury, your symptoms, when they started, and what makes them better or worse. Details matter here; nothing is too small to mention.
Examination. A thorough physical exam focused on your injury: range of motion, orthopedic and neurological testing, palpation, and functional assessment. Everything is measured and recorded, both to guide your treatment and to document your condition.
Imaging, if indicated. Digital X-ray is on-site and can usually be done the same visit. If your exam suggests soft-tissue injury that needs MRI, we coordinate the referral.
Report of findings and treatment plan. Dr. Norsworthy’s team explains what we found in plain language, what we recommend, how long treatment is likely to take, and what it will cost you (usually: nothing out of pocket for PIP-covered accident care). You’ll leave knowing the plan.
First treatment. In most cases, treatment begins the same day — there’s rarely a reason to wait once the exam and imaging are done.
Plan for roughly 60–90 minutes for the full first visit. Follow-up visits are much shorter.

For car accident patients, Delaware’s mandatory PIP coverage pays for reasonable and necessary accident treatment regardless of who caused the crash — which means your care is typically billed to the auto policy, not to your health insurance and not to you. Bring your claim number and we handle the billing directly.
For workers’ compensation injuries, treatment bills to the comp carrier once your claim is accepted; bring your claim information and employer details. For everyone else, we accept most major health insurance plans and offer affordable cash payment options — and we’ll verify exactly what your plan covers before treatment starts, so the first time you hear a number is never on a bill.

Comprehensive Accident and Injury Center
131 Becks Woods Dr, Bear, DE 19701
Free on-site parking directly at the building, with accessible spaces near the entrance.
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 am–6:00 pm.
We serve patients from Bear, Newark, Wilmington, Brookside, New Castle, and surrounding communities.
Everything we document belongs to your care — and accident patients in particular should know how records flow. With your written authorization, we release records to your attorney, your insurance carrier, or another treating provider, and we prepare accident documentation in the organized, dated format claims require. If you change attorneys or carriers mid-case, tell the front desk and we’ll update the authorizations. You can also request your own copies at any time; for accident cases we recommend keeping a personal file alongside ours — visit dates, mileage to appointments, and a simple symptom diary all support your claim. Nothing leaves this office without your authorization, per the HIPAA practices in the notice above.
No — it just saves time. Download and complete them at home if you can; otherwise arrive about 15 minutes early and we’ll get you set up at the front desk.
Plan for roughly 60–90 minutes: check-in, history, examination, same-day X-ray if indicated, a plain-language explanation of findings, and usually your first treatment. Follow-ups are much shorter.
For accident cases billed to Delaware PIP, typically no — PIP pays for covered accident treatment regardless of fault. For other visits, we verify your insurance before treatment and explain any cost up front. We also offer cash payment options.

Yes — with your signed authorization, we send records, imaging, and narrative reports directly to your attorney’s office, and we handle their follow-up requests as your treatment progresses so your case file stays current without you playing courier.
Come anyway. Accident cases typically bill to auto PIP rather than health insurance, workers’ comp cases bill to the comp carrier, and for everything else we offer affordable cash payment options — the front desk will lay out your exact cost before any treatment.
